Christmas can be a hit or miss affair for kids. You can either get the exact present you’re after… or end up with something lame, like socks.

That’s why we created Santa’s Little List Maker. We put the power in kids hands to make the list of presents they wanted, and helped parents take the stress out of Christmas shopping and nail present giving... All with a little help from Santa and his little Elves.

At the store entrance, customers were prompted to scan a QR code on their smart phones, to create a Christmas wish list to send to Santa.

Before kids start scanning products on their parents phone, customers were asked to enter basic information to make the whole experience personalised to them.

 
 
 
 

Throughout the Kmart store, signage helped prompt kids to think about what they would like to add to their list and help them navigate where to find it.

 
 
 
 

Once kids had completed their wish lists, parents contact details were required, then it was sent to Santa.

Unbeknown to the kids, the wish list along with shopping functions such as home delivery and click and collect were sent to parents via email for their convenience.

 
 
 
 

Then a video message from the North Pole was sent to the parents phone for the kids to watch.

The video was completely personalised to the kid based on the information they provided and products they put on their lists. Unlocking the fun and joy of Christmas.

This video could be shared on the parents social media accounts.

To help activate the campaign, we utilised influencers to encourage other parents to try the experience.

The campaign was also supported by product content, and also used the data collected to show other Kmart shoppers what were the hottest items this year.
