Light The Way Brand Refresh
EnergyAustralia, one of Australia’s largest energy providers, came to us to refresh their brand. The key goals of the refresh were to be AAA compliant for web, increase brand salience, but also create a visual mnemonic that can work across all channels and devices.
Leaning into their brand line ‘Light The Way’, our response was to create the ‘beams’ device - a dynamic design that could change based on application.
In addition to the beams, we chose a web safe typeface and created a suite of complimentary icons to improve UX.
The beams device was flexible enough to be adaptable to different media placements, but was strict enough to make sure all communication would stay on brand.
The beams were able to pivot, allowing movement for visual interest and the ability to be used as a transition. Not only did this allow EnergyAustralia to break up messaging but also dial up urgency with retail messaging when required.
The beams device allowed EnergyAustralia to have a simple design system that could easily be rolled out over all touch points of their business with consistency.
